Bobby Peeler was the chairman of the pulpit committee for Lavonia Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC in 1976 which was the first church that Johnny served as pastor while attending Gardner-Webb College. We served there for 3 years, 3 months and 3 weeks before leaving for Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. We had a wonderful ministry there and still keep in contact with many of our friends whom we grew to love, respect and still look forward to seeing on occasion.

Timothy+Barnabas Orlando 2007

We had our first Timothy+Barnabas in Orlando, FL at the Rosen Plaza and it went very, very well. It was a great venue as it provided a lot of room for us to have vendors and plenty of room for everyone in the sessions. I hope we do another one there next year. Everyone seemed very happy with the property. HOWEVER, my Hollie baby had my camera(since hers was lost) and I had to rely on other people to take pictures for me. Thanks to Sarah Hill, I have some photos from the conference. I am posting some highlights from the week. There may be more to follow.

Hope and Maranda (her doll) were able to go to Timothy+Barnabas in Orlando this year as well. I really enjoyed her being there. She was able to fly there with me and Papa and we were even able to fly in First Class! She had so much fun. However, on the way home, Maranda was left on the Park 'n Fly van with the stroller and the 'spotted dog' and that was NOT good....but her Mom saved the day and went back to the Park 'n Fly the next day and rescued them all!

My youngest granddaughter, Addie and her 'new' boyfriend, Parker at the Timothy+Barnabas conference in Orlando....could they be a "Pastor and Wife" at a Timothy+Barnabas Conference in the FUTURE???? Who knows! They sure are cute together.

Monica Before the Makeover....

Every year at Timothy+Barnabas we choose a pastor's wife for a makeover. This year is was Monica McCain from Kentucky. She was a very sweet lady with a great disposition. The winner is chosen by a photo sent in by their husband along with a letter stating why his wife deserves a makeover. This is always a lot of fun and this year was no different.......

American Idols

We are having our Timothy Barnabas Pastor's School this week and another one coming up next week. Yesterday at the hotel there were 3 tour buses in the parking lot. A little while later I'm walking down the hall and start seeing girls and guys from American Idol. My favorite from last season was Melinda Doolittle. Jake took my picture with her, and she was very sweet. We saw all the ones who were on tour except for Sanjaya. I guess he was resting his voice for the concert! haha. I couldn't even concentrate on all I was suppose to be doing to get ready for the conference because I was in such awe to be seeing these people at our hotel!

Well, I think I did it...but don't know quite yet know what I am doing....Deanna got me this far. Now if I can figure out how to get pictures to show up it will be a miracle. I'll try that next, if this actually shows up on the page. I know you can't wait to see what I put on here!
